Artificial Turf: Heat, Appearance & Pet Care
Compare samples, plan drainage and understand heat and cleaning before choosing synthetic grass for your space.
By WaterWise Yard Decor & Design

Heat: synthetic turf can become hot in direct sun. Compare the actual product specifications and consider shade, the time of day you use the space and how children or pets will walk on it. Do not rely on a general cooling claim; ask for product-specific information.
Appearance: blade height, color blends, density and infill affect the finished look. View samples outdoors as well as inside, and consider the turf next to your paving, pottery and garden sculpture. Compare more than a small swatch before making a large-area decision.
Pet care: drainage and regular cleaning are important. Ask which base, infill and cleaning products are recommended for your chosen turf. Remove solid waste promptly and follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions. Product warranty, site preparation and installation scope should be confirmed in writing.
